Principal's Message

FES Family and Friends,

Hello to all and welcome to Summer 2020.  It is hard to believe that we have not seen our students and many of you since March when the COVID-19 pandemic hit our nation, state, and community.  It is my hope and desire that you all are remaining safe and healthy as begin our summer months.  I also want you all to know that we are working closely with the Lincoln County Department of Education Supervisors and Tennessee Department of Education personnel to ensure that when we do start back this fall that we will have the safest and healthiest learning environment that we can provide.  Currently, our custodians are already ensuring that our classrooms are properly stripped and waxed, all walls and surfaces are continually sanitized, and our overall building is completely cleaned and ready for the new school year.

There is no possible way that I can express how saddened we all were when we did not return for the final nine weeks of last school year.  However, I want you to all know that while our normal may change, we have not.  We will always be here for you and children.  If you need anything, please call or email me at:

Thank you,
Dr. David Golden, Principal
